We do them well because we don’t treat them like product films. For example, when tasked with this Google Workspace piece we thought: “But what if it was actually a thriller?” The finished film — which Bonfire Labs concepted, wrote, produced, shot, edited, and handled all post-work for — premiered during the Day 1 Keynote at Google Next.

    GUERRILLA ACTIVATION FORGOTTEN SUFFRAGETTES Women’s suffrage has been whitewashed by history, with an almost exclusive focus on Caucasian women. On "Women Equality's Day," our team created a guerrilla-style campaign to teach today's generation about women of all races who were part of the movement, but are often forgotten in history. Our team of mixed-race female creatives wanted to give the forgotten heroes of the women's suffrage movement the spotlight they deserve. We captured the attention of viewers as they went about their daily lives, by airdropping baseball card-like biographies of suffragettes to their mobile phones. Each card contained a description of each woman's contribution to the voting and equality movements and posed the question "Do you know this woman?"     FITBIT CHARGE 4 KEEP MOVING FORWARD Our ability to faithfully render Fitbit’s products opened the door for us to create a more versatile set of images than traditional photography would have allowed. This, in turn, influenced the look of the website, packaging, and launch film.

    ADOBE + PIXAR "SOUL" CONTEST THE IDEA CREATING CREATIVE ABOUT CREATIVITY With their new movie Soul jazzing up theaters, Pixar partnered with Adobe to create a contest celebrating creativity in all its forms — and the partnered with Bonfire Labs to promote it. Layering 3D movie assets with 2D animation, we made a series of toe-tapping social media videos to raise awareness and drive submissions.

    LOGITECH CIRCLE SAFE AND SOUND Logitech was launching its new Circle security camera and wanted to reach a high-end audience with a story less technical and more approachable. Bonfire Labs crafted a winning concept, then cast and shot video for multiple deliverables at the same time. Despite challenging conditions on-set, the team delivered stellar footage, then edited and created all deliverables in post production—including stunning 3D product renderings.

    ANCESTRY UNTOLD STORIES WHEN THE WORLD NEEDED THEM MOST Memorial Day is one of a those moments every year where we are inspired to look back and discover our connection to the past. We wanted to honor this holiday by making the past feel real and encouraging people to learn the untold stories of their ancestors who fought in WWII. We combined 2D/3D approaches to add depth and movement to archival footage and a chorus of voices to represent the diversity of the audience and its ancestors.

Trust us. People will love it.” And they said, “Who do you think you are?” And we said, “WE ARE BONFIRE LABS!” (We love saying that.)

So they turned to us to communicate this value to their customers. With a new client comes a ground-up creative process and the team at 8x8 was ready to push the limits on motion graphics. What we achieved was a video that appeals to anyone that needs better communication, specifically more voice…video…or chat in their lives.

    DROPBOX USER TESTIMONIALS DROPBOX FOR FOOTBALL?! West and Dropbox approached Bonfire Labs to create videos that would showcase the unusual ways that Dropbox could be used. From a pool of more than 4,500 possible user candidates, the team from Bonfire Labs worked with director Amanda Micheli to pick three compelling stories. In the breakneck timeframe of 3 1/2 weeks, Bonfire cast, shot, edited, and finished all three videos – with principal talent in Ohio, Portland, and Montreal. Two crews, lots of Skypes, and a considerable amount of Red Bull™ resulted in three great stories: Clark, Eva, and Gilles.
