Need For Speed CLIENT: EA AGENCY: Agency Heat Ad agency Heat was in the midst of cutting a new spot for the EA game "Need For Speed" when it realized they needed something more in terms of the end tag animation. Heat turned to Bonfire to create 3D supers tracked into the game footage along with the end tag design.
Value CLIENT: Blue Shield AGENCY: Y&R / Wunderman Ad agency Wunderman Y&R turned to Bonfire and sister company Phoenix Editorial to create a campaign for Blue Shield. Bonfire supervised the live action greenscreen shoot and created the typographic elements while Phoenix handled the editing.
Needles CLIENT: Audi AGENCY: Venables Bell & Partners Bonfire's sister company, Phoenix Editorial, was busy cutting a national campaign for Audi. One of the scenes involved pine needles being blown off a Christmas attached to the top of a car. The practical effects were did not have enough needles in them. Bonfire jumped right in, creating a CG particle effect of pine needles to add bulk and precision to the practical needles.  In addition to the visual effects work, Bonfire also designed the end tag, taking cars shot on a white cyc and transforming the background into a black cyc with falling snowflake gears.
Bill Gates CLIENT: HP AGENCY: McCann Worldgroup Agency McCann Worldgroup came to Bonfire with a quick turnaround project. They needed a HP "hands" spot featuring Bill Gates, and it needed to be completed in four days for his CES keynote. Bonfire quickly worked out the script with McCann's creative director on day one, followed by a VO record by Bill Gates and a rough test shoot on day two. Day three included a live-action greenscreen shoot, followed by two days of intense post production to complete the final piece in time for CES.
Comedy CLIENT: HBO Home Video AGENCY: Venables Bell & Partners Agency Venables Bell and Partners came to Bonfire to create a TV spot for HBO Home Video's Comedy collection. Working alongside sister company Phoenix Editorial, Bonfire selected still images from the standup performances and then treated them in the style of Hatch Show Prints with simple, edgy animation.
Dance Dance Revolution CLIENT: Konami AGENCY: Duncan Channon Agency Duncan Channon came to Bonfire with a TV spot for Konami's hit video game based off their print ads. The print campaign featured halftone imagery of people dancing and singing, with the half tones represented by the iconic arrows found in their games. While no off-the-shelf solution would work for this effect, Bonfire created a script to convert luminance values to text, then made a custom font to spit out arrows of varying size based on luminance.
Lebron CLIENT: Sprite AGENCY: AKQA Interactive agency AKQA came to Bonfire to create the site opener for Sprite.com, featuring a holographic Lebron James. While Bonfire's sister company Phoenix handled the editorial, the Bonfire team set out to create the holographic look.
Oximan Baseball CLIENT: Clorox AGENCY: DDB Agency DDB came to Bonfire's sister company Phoenix Editorial to cut a campaign for Clorox's OxiMagic cleanser. The campaign  required stains to magically disappear after the Oximan hugs the actors. Bonfire supervised the live-action shoot, followed by a few days of flame work to seamlessly remove the stain.
Oximan on the Street CLIENT: Clorox AGENCY: DDB Agency DDB came to Bonfire's sister company Phoenix Editorial to cut a campaign for Clorox's OxiMagic cleanser. Brew Gaming CLIENT: Qualcomm AGENCY: Bonfire Telecom giant Qualcomm came to Bonfire to conceptualize and produce a branding video for their Brew Gaming platform.
Sausage Giftbasket CLIENT: HBO Home Video AGENCY: Venables Bell & Partners Bonfire's sister company, Phoenix Editorial, was called on by agency Venables Bell and Partners to cut a campaign for HBO Home Video. The final end tag required 3D gift boxes tearing apart to reveal the HBO home video boxes. Bonfire handled the 3D animated gift box simulations, along with the elegant type treatment.
Billboard CLIENT: PG&E AGENCY: Venables Bell & Partners Venables Bell & Partners turned to Bonfire to create a :15 spot for Pacific Gas and Electric. Bonfire created a lightray effect from the state of California into the PG&E logo.
Russian Family CLIENT: Got Milk? AGENCY: Goodby, Silverstein, and Partners Agency Goodby Silverstein and Partners were producing another spot in their Got Milk? campaign when they ran into a small problem. The Russian film crew were not able to get the establishing shot, so Goodby turned to Bonfire to craft it. Bonfire took a rainy still photo of Chicago and turned it into a snowy 3D matte painting of Moscow.
Critters CLIENT: Yahoo! AGENCY: Agency Black Rocket Ad Agency Black Rocket worked alongside Bonfire's sister company, Phoenix Editorial, on the legendary campaign that introduced the world to not only Yahoo!, but the internet in general. Critters was one of the many spots the Bonfire creative team helped out on. Bonfire supervised the live-action greenscreen shoot, combining on-set still photography with the footage to create a memorable FIFA tie-in spot seen by soccer fans around the world.
Media Center CLIENT: HP AGENCY: Publicis Hal Riney Agency Publicis Hal Riney turned to Bonfire's sister company Phoenix Editorial to cut a campaign for HP's Media Center PC. Bonfire was responsible for creating several effects in the spot, including an aged film rotoscoping shot of a prisoner taken from an old movie.
